Some New Classes of Unicyclic Graphsof Strong Edge Coloring

Abstract

Let 𝐺 be an undirected simple graph. A strong edge coloring of a graph 𝐺 is a function 𝑓 ∶ 𝐸 → {1,2,3, … , 𝑘} such that 𝑓(𝑒1) ≠ 𝑓(𝑒2) whenever 𝑒1 and 𝑒2 lie within distance 2 from each other. Again, no two edges lie on a path of length 3 receive same colors. The smallest number of colors necessary for strong edge coloring of a graph 𝐺 is entitled as strong chromatic index and is represented by 𝜒𝑆 ′ (𝐺). In this paper, we investigate strong chromatic index of some new classes of unicyclic graphs.

Abstract

MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) is a self-organizing network without the need of any centralized base station. On the other hand, Mobile Ad hoc Networking (MANET) has occupied large space in the world today and a huge number of protocols have been developed. Moreover, MANET is comprised of mobile nodes that exchange data dynamically among them over wireless links. The most significant element of MANET is the Routing Protocols required to control dynamic communication. They are also used to find route for the delivery of data packets to the correct destination. This paper evaluates the performance of various ad-hoc routing protocols such as Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) in Proactive Routing Protocols, On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) in Reactive Routing Protocols and Gatheringbased Routing Protocol (GRP) in Hybrid Routing Protocols while considering different types of data and provides better performance compared to all the above protocols.

Abstract

Cholera continues to emerge in Far North Region of Cameroon and remains an important health challenge. In this work, dynamical system of mathematical model obtained from existing techniques of modelling was studied. The various numerical values obtained such as eigenvalues and basic reproduction number determine the stability of equilibrium points. Cholera epidemiological data given by the Regional Delegation of Health of Far North Region (Cameroon) allowed us to obtain the results using MATLAB software to implement the discretization of the Runge Kutta 4 (RK4) method. Uncertainty, Reliability And Factor Of Safety For Bearing Capacity Of Shallow Foundations In Cohesive Soils

Abstract

In geotechnical engineering practice, researchers have a task of bridging the traditional allowable stress design method with the relatively new and fast growing reliability based design method. One way of doing that is through expressing some relationship between parameters of the two methods in simple terms that can easily be understood and applied by practitioners. This study applied arbitrary chosen design parameters with simple Monte Carlo simulation procedure to determine probabilities of failure of shallow foundations on homogeneous saturated cohesive soil. The probabilities of failure were then plotted against a range of uncertainties expressed in terms of coefficient of variation and for a range of safety factors. The relationships so developed appear to be non-specific to particular type or size of shallow foundation but rather they are general. The study revealed that for undrained shear strength of soil, a factor of safety of 2.0 can accommodate uncertainties of up to 100% and result to a highly reliable design of a shallow foundation in relation to bearing capacity..

The deviation of Rail track is a problem that had happened on Rail road systems. This resulting in the noise, vibrations, fuel consumption and taking more time. Abstract
