Enhancing Color Images Using Ant Colony Optimization Based Text Segmentation Technique

Abstract

In this paper a digitization project of cultural heritage manuscripts as well discuss the underlying problems, particularly those relative to document analysis. Considering the drawbacks of traditional methods for text line extraction in handwritten documents, we proposed to adopt a new approach for text line segmentation for solving the color images having most of the data for proficient text segmentation i.e. ant colony optimization based edge detector to distinguish the mixed regions which results in more accurate results even for complex background images. The use of color images also allows extracting the potential regions during segmentation.

Abstract

The Object Detection is a very important application of Image Processing. Object detection has been one of the hottest issues in the field of Remote Sensing Image analysis. In this research paper, inefficient Object Detection framework is proposed, which combines the strength of the unsupervised feature learning of Visual Saliency. This paper represents the research work is to propose an efficient object detection using the Fuzzy logic and morphological operations based image Segmentation. This research work is to propose new multiple object detection algorithm fuzzy based transition region based image segmentation technology.

Abstract

Big Data is term that refers to data sets whose size (volume), complexity (variability), and rate of growth (velocity) make them difficult to capture, manage, process or analyzed. To analyze this enormous amount of data Hadoop can be used. Hadoop is an open source software project that enables the distributed processing of large data sets across clusters of com-modity servers. I proposed a modified MapReduce architecture that allows data to be pipelined between operators. This reduces completion times and improves system utilization for batch jobs as well........

Abstract

These discussions aim to explain; 1) traffic behavior condition in Malino road segment, 2) performance of service function of primary collector road network of Malino segment in the framework of development of National Transportation System, and 3) handling strategy to improve road transport performance of Malino. The road network discussed is the Sungguminasa-Malino road segment distinguished segments of high density buildings and low density building segments. Data were obtained from traffic surveys and direct interviews of respondents related to road transport handling. A Novel Signature Based Watermarking Approach for Color Images Based On GA and PSO

Abstract

This paper presents a novel color image watermarking scheme based on Integer Wavelet Transform (IWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). A normalization of SVD is carried out through Genetic Algorithm (GA) to obtain the most effective singular components from the host image such that the quality of host image won't be affected. To achieve an optimal watermarking constant at embedding phase, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is accomplished. Since the proposed approach is aimed to the color images, selection of an appropriate color space is very important. The appropriate color space selection is carried out based on the earlier studies.........

Abstract

All around us we are filled with electronic gadgets that make up our world. No longer do we hang onto our retro stereos. About almost every part of our lives has become digitalized. The uses of embedded systems are virtually limitless, because every day new products are introduced to the market that utilize embedded computers in novel ways. Microcontrollers, microprocessors are emerging every day cheaper and smaller than the day before. Olden day's big, heavy cameras have been elevated by small, lighter digital cameras. About 85% of the adults use cellphones all over the world for going online according to a recent survey. 74% of adults ages 18-34 own an mp3 player. This paper highlights the most important feature of an embedded system and its various functions by giving out important examples.

Optimal N-policy for Finite Queue with Server Breakdown and State-dependent Rate

Abstract

In this paper, a finite Markovian queue with single server has been investigated under N-Policy. The server is subject to random breakdown and is restored to its previous state after repair. The customers arrive according to Poisson distribution to get service from the server. The server turns off when there is no customer in the system i.e. the system is empty and turns on when there are N or more than N customers present in the system. The server may break down when it is in working state. We derive queue size distribution by using generating function method. The optimum value of threshold parameter N is determined which minimizes the total average cost. To examine the effect of different parameters, sensitivity analysis is facilitated.

Abstract

Combining information from two illumination invariant descriptors can provide more discriminative features and high recognition accuracy. In this paper, an illumination invariant face recognition algorithm is proposed based on the combination of gradient based illumination normalization and fusion of two illumination invariant descriptors. The ratio of the gradient amplitude and original image intensity provides the illumination invariant face representation. Illumination insensitive descriptor Local Binary Pattern and its noise resistant version Local Ternary Pattern are used to extract the image features.............

Hand tools are commonly encountered; and it has caused our daily tasks to be performed with ease and effectiveness. The design of hand tools has a significant influence in the development of upper limb musculoskeletal disorders. Abstract

IOT features created various new information parts in addition to one of the parts are usually vehicular info network where many cars and products are participating with huge info exchange. The high information management as well as minimal transmission efficiency sustained in the vehicular information network is challenging the investigators to analyze more cost-effective and scalable network architectures along with transmission schemes. The study indicates that the NDN has better results but it can be improved further by utilizing optimistic decision making. This paper mainly focuses on vehicular information network in which various forms of vehicles and products are involved by utilizing Internet of things (IOT) and fuzzy logic in VANETS which further improves the vehicular information system.

Sputtering Power Dependent Physical Properties of Nanocrystalline Au: SnO2 Thin Films

Abstract

Nanocrystalline gold doped tin oxide (Au:SnO2) thin films were deposited on glass substrates at different sputtering powers by DC reactive magnetron sputtering. The physical properties of as deposited films were characterized by different analytical techniques. The oxygen content in the films was slightly decreased with increasing of the sputtering power. The Au:SnO2 films exhibited the SnO2 phase only and no diffraction peak from Sn and/or Au phase was found. The deposited films were preferentially grown to (101) plane. The optical absorption edge shifted to higher wavelength side with increases of sputtering power. The band gap of the films decreased from 3.41 eV to 3.18 eV with increasing the sputtering power.

Abstract

Lawn Tennis often involves players hitting balls all over the tennis court. This results in accumulation of balls on the other side of court, especially during practice sessions. It is a tiresome job for the players to stop play and manually pick the balls. This paper emphasizes the development of a mobile robot that autonomously picks up the tennis balls on a lawn tennis field. Relative localization of a two wheeled differential drive robot is achieved by the means of odometry. The closed loop system features feedback from wheel encoders by taking into consideration the parameters such as payload, velocity, diameter of wheel and distance between the wheels................

Abstract

Bone age assessment (BAA) is a task performed on radiographs in hospitals to estimate the age of a skeletal, to predict the final adult height, to diagnose of growth disorders through monitoring skeletal development. The next generation of bone age system should be portable, mobile and more accurate with better usability. Hence, to meet these requirements, a new framework is proposed that builds cloud enabled bone age assessment system. This framework shows device to device communication models, network cloud layer structures and image processing algorithms which meets the requirement such as mobility, portability and high accuracy. The paper also explores answers to many questions that may arise, regarding the image diagnostic quality produced/ rendered or whether it can be used as per radiology standards and other critical requirements.

Abstract

Mathematical modeling of immobilized enzyme in a spherical porous matrix is discussed. This analysis was performed by using an analytical method called new Homotopy perturbation method, and the results were compared with numerical solution. Our analytical solution has a satisfactory agreement with numerical solution.
