Abstract

Big data is a declaration used to recognize the database whose area is the potential of typical database software tools to store, organize and examine. Big data have demonstrated a new path towards the world. Cancer is a tumor of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the possibility to occupy or disperse to other parts of the body. It has been a deadline for millions of people. Every cancer is particular and the medical treatment is complex. The data of each cancer patient are too large and it varies from one person to another person. Performance Evaluation of Hydrogen-Diesel Dual Fuelled Engine

Abstract

Environmental concerns and limited amount of conventional fuels have caused interests in the development of alternative fuels like hydrogen for internal combustion (IC) engines. The experiments were conducted on water cooled, direct injection (DI), diesel engine at a speed of 1500 rpm. Hydrogen was stored in a high pressure cylinder and supplied to the inlet manifold through a water-and-air-based flame arrestor. A pressure regulator was used to reduce the cylinder pressure from 140 bar to 2 bar. In this work an attempt has been made to investigate the combustion, performance and emission characteristics of a single cylinder four-stroke compression-ignition engine operated in dual-fuel mode with hydrogen as an alternative fuel..............

Estimation of insolation of flat plate solar collectors in selected cities in Nigeria

Abstract

This paper examines the insolation and efficiency of flat plate collectors across selected locations of the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria at different tilts. The performance of a flat plate collector in relation to heat transfer fluid in the absorber was evaluated using standard equation known as the Hottel -Whillier- Bliss Equation. This equation takes into account the liquid collector's plate efficiency factor as 0.9, the least factor value. At tilt equals Latitude, the least incidence angle occurs in August/September at 2.5o with corresponding insolation of about 1000W/m2, while the highest incidence angle is on the average of 23.47o in December with a corresponding least average insolation value of 854.38W/m2. Abstract

A study on fish drying in ChalanBeel areas was conducted between July 2011toJune 2014. Field survey was carried out in,Singra, Tarash, and BhanguraUpazilas adjacent to ChalanBeel to assess the fish drying status. Twenty six fish were used for drying includingfive major fish species for large scale drying and remaining species were mixed with major species, mostly of damaged physically.Fishes are highly perishable food commodity due to high protein content, henceessential to sale for its immediate use or process and preserve. Abstract

Software assessment of a project could be a key facet for the prediction of the price, time-span and also the experience needed for the project. An economical optimization rule is desperately required. During this paper, we have analyzed the genetic rule (GA) technique in the event of a software system assessment model for the NASA software system project dataset. The simulation is performed victimizing MATLAB ambiance and also the results are unit tested on the premise of measures like MMRE, MdMRE, MMER, Prediction Accuracy (25%) and also the estimation time. The results of the developed Genetic rule (GA) based model were conjointly compared to proverbial models within the literature. The assessment provided by the developed GA model was sensible compared to different models.

Study of Structural, Electronic And Optical Properties of Fluoride Perovskite Cscaf3 Using FP-LAPW Method

Abstract

A cubic perovskite CsCaF3 has been investigated from the first principles calculation within the full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW). Most common exchange correlation effect called the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) was used to treat the electron. The calculated structural properties such as equilibrium lattice constant, the bulk modulus and its pressure derivative are in good agreement with the previous report. We have found that the compound is an insulator with large band gap of 6.9 eV. The optical spectra are also calculated from the Kramers - Kroning equation in relation to rigid band structure.

Abstract

The consumption and demand for the petroleum products are increasing every year due to increase in vehicle population, standard of living and urbanization. This causes fast depletion of petroleum products, which leads to move towards the alternative fuels for researchers. Among so many alternative fuels for diesel engine, non edible vegetable oils are the most widely used under the test. The purpose of present work is to investigate the engine performance and emission characteristics of DI diesel engine with different blends of safflower seed oil. Engine tests have been carried out to obtain comparison of fuel consumption, specific fuel consumption, brake thermal efficiency, volumetric efficiency and smoke opacity and compared with that of diesel fuel. The aim of the proposed project work is to investigate experimentally the performance and emissions characteristics of safflower biodiesel at different loads. A single cylinder, direct injection, compression ignition engine has been selected for investigation.

Abstract

Low-power designs are a need with the increasing demand of compact devices which are battery worked. In a significant number of such devices the operational speed isn't as critical as battery life. Logic-in-memory structures using nano-devices and adiabatic designs are two techniques to decrease the static and dynamic power consumption separately. Magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) is an emerging technology which has numerous focal points when utilized as a part of logic-in-memory structures in conjunction with CMOS. In this paper, we introduce a novel adiabatic hybrid MTJ/CMOS structure which is utilized to plan AND/NAND, XOR/XNOR and 1-bit full adder circuits. We simulate the designs using HSPICE with 32nm CMOS technology and contrasted it and a non-adiabatic hybrid MTJ/CMOS circuits. The proposed adiabatic MTJ/CMOS full adder configuration has more than 7 times lower power consumption contrasted with the past MTJ/CMOS full adder.

Abstract

Internet of Things and blockchain are two breakthrough and transformative technologies. Blockchain is a type of distributed ledger technology. It is a decentralized or distributed peer-to-peer network. The applications of blockchain have moved beyond traditional financial services. In this paper proposed applications of blockchain in IoT are reviewed. Challenges of IoT and limitations of blockchain in the context of IoT are highlighted. Going beyond traditional blockchain, we review a distributed ledger technology known as Tangle which is an extension of blockchain but different from traditional blockchain technology. Abstract

The current globalization of the economy is forcing enterprises to design and manage their supply chains efficiently on a worldwide basis. Sourcing strategy design in supply chain management is vital to gain competitive advantages. Under competitive environment the ability to make fast and accurate decisions constitute an important advantage. Successful supply chain management applications necessitate an effective sourcing strategy to deal with uncertainties both in sourcing decision making and order allocation among selected suppliers. This study presents an empirical approach with two different (but not independent) parts. The first part includes the evaluation of sourcing strategy and the second part includes the order allocation model based on the evaluation results of the sourcing strategy. The proposed model offers an innovative approach by integrating the decision making process over sourcing strategy decisions and order allocation.
